Charles Baguet (1831-1909) was a Belgian botanist and co-founder of the ‘Société de botanique de Belgique’. He collected a very beautiful and complete Belgian herbarium that has been kept in the herbarium of Meise Botanic Garden since 1999 after it was donated by the herbarium of the Catholic University of Leuven.
During the second mass digitization project DOE!2, all herbarium specimens from the Baguet collection of Meise Botanic Garden were photographed. All label data was also entered by an external company, except for 1 field: the name under which the plant is stored in the herbarium.
