Zambia (formerly Northern Rhodesia) is a country in southern Africa and is landlocked. Most of the country consists of savannah landscape with various grasses and low growth such as shrubs, cacti and climbing plants. Besides savannah landscapes, there are also forested areas, riverine forests and rainforests. Swampy areas can also be found around the rivers and lakes.
