In this project, you will be able to explore some of the registers of the Belgian botanist Léon Auguste Edouard Joseph Pynaert (1876-1968). These documents contain valuable information about the herbarium specimens he collected during some of his expeditions in the present Democratic Republic of the Congo.
You will come across different types of registers: maps and tables (each one with data about his collection events), but also some letters concerning Pynaert's collection written by others. In what concerns the data, please use the form table; for the letters, it is easier if you transcribe the text into the field "your notes". If you do wish to add your real personal notes, these can always be added in the end after the text.
