The herbarium LUX:
The herbarium of the MnhnL (LUX) – a collection of labelled plants and fungi, dried and pressed, mounted on sheets of paper – includes about 50,000 specimens from the early nineteenth century until present. A herbarium specimen label includes the most accurate data possible concerning the date and collection place, the collector and the determination.
In 2019 a mass digitization project was launched to image a large part of herbarium LUX. To date, the images of some 30,000 of these specimens are publicly available via GBIF.org. In order to increase this number, we are asking for your help with transcribing the information on herbarium sheet labels using their images. None of the specimens from this project is already recorded in our database. The specimens come from different collectors and have very different types of labels.
Keywords (Latin):
Luxemburgum, MnhnL, Botanica.
